Hey guys i'm gonna be purchasing a V-1 S-Trim Supercharger this monday and i was wondering what else i'll need. The engine is torn down so nows the time to do EVERYTHING!

Here is what i've come up with.....
-FRPP 42 lb Fuel injects
-Lightning 90mm MAF Meter
http://www.musclemotors.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1088&HS=1
^^^^Is there somewhere else you can get that kit for not so damn much?
-AFM 4 inch Power Pipe
-MSD 6A Ignition Box With Built-in Boost / Retard
-2.95 Pulley kit w/ 8 rib belt and hardware
I'm looking for 12-15 lbs of boost? Is that the right pulley?

Or do you suggest going with a Cog Belt set up. Although then i might have clearance issues with my electric fan....I'm not sure yet...

Is there anything else i'd need? I want to get it all ordered monday so any help would be great!

I recommend the SCT MAF2600. It's 90mm as well. It's good for up to 600HP or so. However, it's in the same price range as the one you showed (you can get those elsewhere for much cheaper, and get your own filter).

The boost output will mainly depend on the rest of your setup. As a measure of restriction, the larger-flowing engine you have the lesser boost will be put through it as a result. For instance, with the same blower setup you can see 8lbs. of boost on an engine with AFR 205's on it vs. 12lbs. on a stock-headed setup. If you have a big breathing engine, I think you're right in the area with that smaller blower pulley though. I think 87ttopStang is putting 12# through his 306 with an 8"/3.33" combo that I sold him.

edit: a bigger fuel pump if you haven't got one, and a chip w/tune is a must. Unless you want to go for an FMU setup instead (I personally wouldn't).

Head studs would be a worthwhile investment as well.

Yes boost depends on how well flowing the rest of your parts are. You'll need a 255 intank and prob a inline pump also depending on how much power your looking to have. Also you dont need those FMS injectors, get the summit 42's I believe mine were $299 brand new. Get a 6AL instead of the 6A, rev limiter is a must. No need for a boost retard box either, get a real tune.

I agree. Goes along w/the FMU idea too. And that idea is...forget it

That's just my opinion though. I know lots of people have done quite a lot with those parts but I won't chance it on my own car.

Right, I got my car tuned for $500 and couldnt be happier.Using a FMU is the cheap way out but you'll never get the power you really could tuned.

I would go with a 8 inch crank pulley over a 2.95 upper. That way, you'll still have plenty of boost, but you'll also have plenty of belt wrap around the head unit pulley.

Oh ****, my bad. I originally thought he said 2.95"/8" setup. I didn't notice he said 8-rib belt setup. So yes, 2.95" blower and a 7" crank pulley more than likely won't get you at 12-15#. Get the 8 incher and pair it with a 3.33" and see what happens. If you need more, step to the 2.95. Don't go smaller, you'll get slip.

Wow thanks for all your help guys. Really didn't expect that much ha.

New List
-SCT MAF 90mm
Will this plug in direct?
Where to buy this?
-Summit 42lb fuel injectors
-MSD 6A w/ rev limitor
-8' crank with 3.33 pulley kit
Will that put me around 12-15 lbs?
-AFM 4 inch power pipe

Yes i'm getting a real tune and a chip from my local auto electric shop. I'm not gonna run the FMU because i already have a BBK 255 lph fuel pump. So i won't need the T-Rex then either..

Okay well what i'm trying to achieve is that magic number of 500 hp. My neighbor is running 517 rwhp. With the 8' crank and 3.33 pulleys that will only put out 12lbs of boost correct? Would the 2.95 put out around 14? I dont think 12 would be enough to reach my goal. I could go a cog setup but then might have clearance issues... But my goal is 500hp regardless.....

Bottom end is a Forged 306 with all the top end supporting mods...

YOu have to wire the SCT MAF to work. It comes with instructions. I think it's 4 out of the 6 wires go intot he new MAF and that's it. You also need an adapter to fit a conical filter onto it, just like the Lightning MAF. Good luck finding the right filter to fit into the well with it though. ugh. That was a mess for me, stocked selection at the stores was non-existent and I had to research through about 1,000,000 online to find the right dimensions

The FMU doesn't really do the same job as the actual fuel pump, it adjusts FP as per the air going through the engine. But with a tune you won't need it anyway so no need to talk about it further. No need for a cog setup either.

ha i know... we'll see what happens.

mansonozz-- SO you think i should go with the 3.33 pulley setup and settle for 12lbs of boost?
About the SCT 90mm MAF Meter. Where can i buy one from and could i just buy the filter that comes with that Lightning 90mm MAF meter? Or could you just tell me what size and where you got your filter....?

I'll look through my receipts to see if the part# or anything is on the receipt.

I'd try the larger one first and see where it lands, then swap it out for the 2.95" if you don't see what you want. Better safe than sorry, it only takes a couple minutes if the tuner lets you spin a wrench while there.

Well see my 306 engine is being built right now... And what i was gonna do is have the engine builder lower the compression to.. say 9 to 1. Then run about 12 lbs of boost. Or keep it stock compression and run 12 lbs of boost. And about the SCT 90mm. They have to be tuned by a SCT dealer. And the Auto Electric place that is tuning mine is a SCT dealer. So i might be able to pick one up from him. But i also found the meter and adaptor.. just need the filter

I really think your going to run out of fuel with just a intank, dont get a T rex they are junk. The kit I bought from anderson is really good, I believe it was $270 or around there.
