Ok, from what I gather here the t-45/tr-3650 are about the same, more of a preference here. I have a 97 GT with the t-45, and a Speed cal to correct for the gears. A couple different questions arise for me.

1.)If I did do a tranny swap am I going to have to do anything special for keeping the speeometer correct?? The speed tooth in the tranny?

2.)Where do you guys buy your reman/new trannys at? I've been looking and haven't found squat on places to buy. I'd like to have a 6 speed if I end up having to spend the money on getting a built one, eventually going to a blower of some kind down the road. I guess I'd be looking for the t-56 with 26 spline input upgrade, or a TKO?

i bought a T-45R from www.keislerauto.com

$895+ 300 core charge, and it came with a new short throw shifter.

would love to have a t-56 myself, and smartparts auto has a great price, but i just went for the t-45R as my car is staying N/A

for the t56 out of the 03-04 cobra it states you need an electronic speedometer. Well in 97 it's the mechanical speedo... so is it possible to get that to work and what is involved with getting that switched?
