buying an afpr, need advice

im in the market for an afpr since im putting in a bigger fuel pump for my nitrous. i was looking on ebay and they have like 1000 ranging anywhere from $20-$100. i was wondering if there was anything i should look for in them (number of outlets, etc), and i def need one with a gauge. also, one of my dsm friends said turbo cars use a diff kind(?). thanks.

personally i wouldn't bother with getting one. if you do a search i'm sure you'll see what other's have said about them. basically unless you have a chip/tweecer/pms, the fp won't stay how you want it because of the computer.

It WILL work at WOT which is where you want it to work. At WOT your car goes out of closed loop and into open loop where it just takes values from tables. That is where the added FP will make your car richer.

When you drive normally your car is in closed loop and using your 02 sensors the car will adapt. So it sees a rich condition which it will correct by changing the pulsewidths.

Edit: oh and get a kirbin take the sticker off and it will look almost stock!

you see, this is the information that makes me come back for more instead of looking it up on corral.

i got a kirban that i havent installed yet that i nicely polished. after reading others opinions, i decided not to install it untill i read you post.

i will put it in as soon as the car comes out

Back in the day before my Tweecer i used mine with great success. Getting a chip tune, PMS or TwEECer is always better but if you just need to fatten it up a little during WOT then your good to go with a AFPR.
