Now I know I'm going to need my speedometer recaliprated. Will ford beable too do that becaues I don't want to get the Speed Cal seeing as I will be getting and SCT Xcal 2 in the up comeing months.
I got my 4.30's from a guy on ebay. Let me know if you want me to get you the seller ID for him. they are ford racing gears and I paid $189. for them. cheapest I found them especially since he has free S&H. As far as install, I'm in Ohio and got mine done for $150.
Unless you put them in yourself, demand that they record the measurements. Ask them what the pattern looked like and the backlash measurement. Ask how many shims they used to get the spacing right. Installing gears right versus throwing the gears in and just using the old shims are two different things. I will be looking for a 4x4 truck shop to do my gears. They probably do more gears than anyone else. Fast Eddie's Local Garage is not the answer.

I don't think Ford will do that. If you're picky about accurate mileage on your odometer, simply record the number of uncorrected miles you accumulate, and you can temporarily over-adjust the rear gear correction with the XCal 2 when you get it to compensate for the incorrect mileage.
I got frpp 4.10s off ebay also. They were only 99 bucks (plus shipping) and they were brand new. You just have to check back every couple of days to find good deals. That was one of the best deals i have ever gotten.
