My neighbor is selling a '89 LX Hatchback for $2,500 with 65k miles. I'm wondering if it is a good price?

5.0, Mac Headers, Spintecs, BBK throttle body, K&N, Hyperchip, AOD, PS, PW, sunroof, new brakes, new tires, A/C Lines, new injectors, etc. etc. Body is perfect. Interior shows it's age but I'm looking for a fun little commuter (getting rid of the Explorer). Comes with 10 hole rims and he has a set of 16" stars that come with it. Also, including all original parts.

He is an older guy and I know he takes good care of it. He has a 25 year old mercedes that is immaculate.

deffinetly sounds like a good price to me, AOD isn't fun, but if its for commuting, its probably better. Go for it!

Sounds like it is a go but it won't be in the driveway until January.

I've got the 5-speed in my 66. The AOD is preferred for the commuter.

Thanks again... just need to sell the Explorer now.

sounds like a good deal. I paid to much for my 91 lx with 88,000 miles aod in 2000. plus you have some nice mods that you could sell if you upgrade to better parts. if you don't buy it, let me know i'm local to you.
