Well, after spending tons and tons of time using the search to find relative threads, listening to clips from mustangexhaust.com, youtube.com, and streetfire.net. I 've really narrowed down my exhaust choices. I thought I knew what I wanted, I changed my mind and my current picks are: SLP LM's, Magnapacks, and JBA. Previously, on my 2000 MGT I had Magnaflow cat-backs, Magnaflow X-Pipe with hi-flow cats. It was a very pleasant sound, no drone.
Well, I know I want something louder but not obnoxious. After reading a lot of the past threads I think these choices are my best suiters. The only problem is; I see some people saying Loudmouth's drone, where other's claim no drone. Same with the Magnapacks. Some are claiming drone, others are not. I frequently do highway traveling through two states with two different speed limits. One, I'm traveling 55 - 60, the other 65 - 75. I do realize the nature of louder exhausts is that there will be some interior resonance. I just don't want the situation where it's vibrating, distracting, or downright painful. (My girlfriend is picky about that on long trips.)
Can anyone straight out tell me what the drone is like with these set-ups? I'd even be willing that if there is anyone here in the Toledo area with one of these set-ups, I'd give a $20 gas card to if you gave me a ride. Come to think of it, after seeing so many threads on exhaust, we should have some kind of "Mustang Sound Meet" so members can physically see and hear what type of set-up sounds like. Imagine how many questions would be answered.
Anyways, before I click the "Add To Cart" button on one of these, regret it, then sell it just to buy another, can anyone chime in and say what they think of the interior drone? Thanks a lot.
