Buying parts today. Few questions

Hey guys, im finally getting around to ordering some of the parts I need. Should I go with a standard or high volume water pump? I dont see how a high volume water pump could hurt??

Also, what *stat do you all run? I was planning on doing a 180* but really dont know???

The pump is not a huge deal. Dont expect great things from the HIgh volume pump compared to a stocker.

For the stat, I would recommend a Mr Gasket 180*F unit. Should be under 9 bucks at Summit.

A regular water pump is fine. I like the mr gasket 180* thermostat too, but it WILL make your engine run cold in the winter especially seeing that you're in PA. I remember when I had that stat with my 302, the engine would sometime struggle to hit 150-160*. Now with an 11:1 347, its not as bad since the compression/power make it run a little warmer.

Thanks for the input guys. I just ripped the ac condenser out today too, so that should inprove airflow to the radiator. Where can i get a remnufactured stocker??? The only water pump i see for our cars at summit is the high flow one.

i got mine from jegs, its a ford racing unit for 94-95 5o's, it was like 75 bucks. it fit perfect, no problems.
