Buying Tires NOW. Right choice?

Falken Ziex ZE-512s are $100 each and rated #1 by Consumer Reports magazine. You could almost get three of them for the price of one of those tires you selected.
I'm not sure I would trust consumer reports. Just because the Falken's are the best you can get for $100, that doesn't mean that a $150 tire isn't a helluvalot better.

But don't listen to me...I bought Pirelli P-Zeros Neros and now I wish I had got the BFG KDWS.

Side Note: A few years ago, I bought the consumer reports #1 rated gas grill. It was a Sunbeam. Went thru 3 of them that all had crappy ignitors and didn't cook worth a crap before I spent another $50 and got a Weber which was waaaaaaay better. Had it for 5 years now with no problems.

I've had several sets of Falken tires on various cars over the years and really liked them. They are not the best tires you can buy, but I think they are a good overall tire at a competitive price. I just put 265/35 and 285/35 FK-451 on the Mustang and have the Azenis tires on my BMW. I like them both, but I must admit I was looking more at a good overall tire versus an all out performer.

The g-Force T/A’s are a nice performing tire and should do well with your car, but be forewarned….their tread life is less than optimum. Every BFGoodrich tire I’ve ever owned has worn twice as fast as any other.

I just bought a set of the Falken FK-451’s for mine and although I haven’t had the chance to run them yet, they’re (as stated above) rated very highly for the price…..even better so then the BF’s.
