buzz through apeakers at idle

Good afternoon all,

My system has worked very well up till now. At idle there is a distinct hum/buzz throught the rear speakers. When I throttle up it goes away or gets so low I am unable to detect it.
It is intermittent and a little confusing any help would be appreciated.

Details?

Cant possibly diagnose problems when you dont share what kind of system u have in, who installed it, etc.

Sounds like a ground...but usually the buzz will increase in speed as your rpms increase. Might have some cross cable interference too. Is it out of all the speakers? Is it factory? did they use a harness? more info and we'll nail this sucker

finally back

Good afternoon all,

I have been out of the pocket for a while.
Aftermarket radio with crutchfield wiring harness. Been in for about 2 years now Mach 460 original system aftermarket has been fine until now.
Buzz if definitely through the rear speakers maybe only one, have not been back there yet. Loud at idle and goes away as I speed up. Some days are worse than others, radio seems to work fine when buzz is not overpowering.

There is a radio interference capacitor (silver cylinder) on the coil bracket, it's supposed to suppress that kinda stuff. Usually the buzzing goes up and down with engine RPM. Yours might have died or not be hooked up right.

Does the buzz go up and down with the volume? Do you hear the buzz with the radio off? Or when you're playing a CD/tape? Your wiring harness might be coming loose or have a minor short.

it does it in my driver side tweeter... i think the tweeter is on its way out since the sound comes and goes as well as the buzzing... it buzzes when it doesnt have any sound and it has sound when it doesnt buzz... go figure
