I've had this annoying buzzing sound coming from my UPR shifter for about 2 months. It goes away about 90% if you hold the shift knob tight. Last night while I was driving I spun the knob off the shifter completely and the buzz was totally gone. It a FRPP leather Cobra knob. So the easy fix seems to be get a different knob if I can't stop the buzzing inthe FRPP knob.

Anyone have any ideas on how to stop the buzzing? Anyone else even experience this? If I have to buy a new shift knob I will.

Yes!!!
I have the same knob, and I get the same BUZZZ.
It's because the knob is made up of plastic inside.
It's weird, if you place your hand just behind the knob when you drive, it gets louder. (the sound bounces of your hand)
So, I wrapped the threaded end of the handle with teflon.
Then, shoved some shredded peices of a plastic Safeway bag inside the knob.
It made a difference but it is still there.
I also use one of Cobra Bob's shifter gaskets, which helps a bit too.

Super glue that puppy or else get this...

No problem with my OEM knob, but with my Fat Knob, it created a bit of buzz...I just swapped back to the OEM knob. Dittos on my wife's 01...had a Steeda knob on her Tri-Ax, but with the OEM knob, it's virtually silent.
Here's a trick that may help - I've heard of some people cutting small rubber pieces (like from a bicycle inner tube) and inserting it in between the knob and the handle to absort the vibes. (That is where the buzz is coming from...the vibration.
Is the handle steel or aluminum? The steel handles seem to 'handle' (no pun intended) vibration better.
Best of Luck!
