I currently have a bosch bypass valve that came with my Novi 2000. I am getting ready to have my car dyno tuned. It should make 15-20#s of boost. I have the 2.90" pulley. Will the bosch that came with the kit hold up to that amount of boost, or should I get something different?

How much boost are you running? I checked out your car domain page and it said 10#'s. I made 380HP with only 8#'s of boost on stock block and the bypass was great then. I guess I will see when I get her tuned. If it doesn't hold up, then I will purchase a new one.

i was at 10# with the IC and now i'm at 13# with another IC.

you are pushing a much larger volume of air when you add an IC and trying to push it thru the tiny stock bypass isnt a good thing

the s/c will be pullied for over 20# when the engine goes in so i just got the biggest valve possible to make sure i dont have any compressor surge

Smoking, dont wait for a problem before you replace the valve.....upgrade to MORE than you need before the problem develops. Compressor surge is no joke...it puts tremendous loads on your impeller wheel and can lead to cracking. an impeller going 60,000RPM is not something you want to have coming apart :)

I have the Tial 50MM valve on my setup...I suggest you do the same as me and Saleen and go with the same one or get something simular that can handle as much flow. Good luck with your tune BTW!
