its very pricey, hence why i am wondering about it. is it as good as they rave? i really like the design, and the looks, but power to money ratio how is it? cheapest i found is $250, and they say 20 hp  i could expect 10 from it, seeing that i get a large MAF, what are your views?

On a stock Fox 5.0, it they got 8 rwhp out of it... I JUST ordered a 73 MM for mine last night... Also have the C&L intake tube. Some will say they suck.. others have had good luck. They only work with NA combos and the stock air box... atleast that's what they recommend... Most people that have had problems with them are using them incorrectly, like with a CAI or a blower.

i ran a 76mm c&l maf and intake tube for over a year and had no problems at all. when i put in my sc and went to the dyno tuner he said to get a 80mm pro-m so i did. still have my 76mm c&l, going to list it on ebay cause i have no use for it. they work with cai, you just cant put a cone filter right onto it, you need a few inches of pipe infront of the maf for it to work right.

I have absolutely no issue with my C&L and my blower. In fact, that is the only meter that vortech sells. I bought mine from vortech, and my tuner said he would not have appreciated my combo had I gone with anything else. C&L utilizes the stock electronics, which obviously is not a bad setup. Just my .02 :)

Correct. But that meter housing and sampling tube is complete different then the "regular" C&L... :)

I see them advertised NEW with FREE shipping for 139.95 on-line without the curved tube that goes to the throttle body and without electronics but with a 19lb sample tube. I was hoping to beat that price by going used or second hand - since the dollar to power ratio is not all that great.

Got mine used for $100 last week - installed it and LOVE it!!!!! C&L 76 MAF with 19lb tube - used my original electronics, re-set the computer & bumped my fuel pressure regulator 1/3 turn. Car feels stronger - I could actually feel it!(unlike when I installed underdrive pullies - I never felt the difference there but did notice gas mileage increase with that). I don't have a dyno handy but I would have to say it gave 10hp to my fairly stock engine with stock throttle body, 1.7's, MAC street underdrives, CAI, K&N, hotter coil with plasma booster...etc... basic bolt on goodies.
