how recently did you drive your car? if its still hot you might have to wait for a bit...leave the hood open and leave it out in the cold for a little while...but honestly it was tough but not impossible for me to get off

My car's been off for a while. I can touch the block & feel no warmth. Maybe it's the tools I'm using. What do you recommend for those two bolts?

Socket (good ol' closed end on 1 side & open end on the other huh)? That's what I'm using. Guess I'll try harder.

ok SOAK the bolts in WD-40, wait 10, then try again with all your strength..other than that i dont want you to break anything so i cant say what else you could do...

that one is a long oddly threaded bolt. if you get a metal pipe or something and slide it over the handle of the socket, it might give more leverage

I thought about that too. Can't find anything like that but I am looking. I'm also hoping this is the hardest part of the install.

Well I finished the job but my throttle cable now has one of the vacuum fittings in it's way so I can't go full throttle. What to do. Think I'll sleep & finish up in the morning.

True. I like the color but let's see if I get my throttle cable clear.

I too had the problem with my throttle cable hitting the vacuum line. I posted a thread about it and the best result was to take some spacers or washers and put them under the two bolts that hold the throttle linkage bracket to the back of the plenum. This will raise the mounting points and in turn raise the throttle cable.....problem gone!!

I used 3 washers under the bracket per bolt & that alone w/out the zip-ties did the trick.
