how recently did you drive your car? if its still hot you might have to wait for a bit...leave the hood open and leave it out in the cold for a little while...but honestly it was tough but not impossible for me to get off
yea i guess...i used a craftsman socket and i do remember it being incredibly tight but i did get it off..then i re tightened it back on as hard as i possibly could when i finished with the new plenum
ok SOAK the bolts in WD-40, wait 10, then try again with all your strength..other than that i dont want you to break anything so i cant say what else you could do...
Well I finished the job but my throttle cable now has one of the vacuum fittings in it's way so I can't go full throttle. What to do. Think I'll sleep & finish up in the morning.
I too had the problem with my throttle cable hitting the vacuum line. I posted a thread about it and the best result was to take some spacers or washers and put them under the two bolts that hold the throttle linkage bracket to the back of the plenum. This will raise the mounting points and in turn raise the throttle cable.....problem gone!!
