Ok Saturday my C&L plunem goes on my car what should I exspect from this mod? Will there be a nice hard hit or is a peak HP mod?? And should I get a mas air kit to go with the plenum if this does not give me a good hit in power then this is it for the bolt on sh it. In 2 3 weeks my SHM cam will go in my car. Then it time for my Pro Charger and I pray I hold up for the summer. Why you say thats when I'll have money for my rebuiled I just have to say out of WOT

From what ive read, the MAF is a waste unless you are pegging your stock one. The C&L makes power by leaning out the tune. If you dont plan on getting it tuned, i guess it would be ok but I really wouldnt waste my time. You are getting supercharged soon it sounds like and i would just save the money and put a 90mm lightning maf on it. Whatever you do, good luck.

it's camS. there are 2 unlike the 5.0's.

Also, what year is your car black-stang? If it's a pre 99 car, a MAF will make a pretty big difference, especially with the plenum and a trueflow pipe or denscharger or the like.

The MAF from C&L is a definitely bonus. I wrote a complete article about the 80mm MAF and the C&L Plenum and T/B here:
www.yellowmustangregistry.com/cnl.html

Photos, Dyno results, and installation tips....Hope this helps.

The reason I ask is that cam lobe profiles differ quite a bit from N/A to S/C in a performance application. To get the most out of a blower, you really should have "blower" cams.

My car is a 97 vert with svo heads and bolt-ons. It looks like I may get a SHM mild race cams . How much power will the MAF give me the C&L was the best bolt-on mod that I have done. Ok may gears where the best 3:73.

WOW I couldn't DISAGREE more!
I have the Accufab 70mm TB and the Accufab Plenum and the C&L 85mm MAF and WOW if that ain't a BEST BAG for a buck combo I have no idea what is!
I mean I can FEEL the diffrence Not only Dose C&L's website say the MAF is good for 9-14HP but it's good for 10lbs of Tourqe and THAT i can tell ya it dose!
Go with the combo of the 3 and you CAN'T go wrong and trust me I Felt it!

Ryan L,
Did you plumb your NOs threw a C&L inlet pipe?
I Know Mine has a Hookup for a Nos jet and was wondering if that was how you did yours?
Sorry I know it's off the Subject...

I have a densecharger pipe that I tapped into. I am just using the C&L MAF itself.

A blower will max out the MAF in no time. C&L is just a housing that uses the stock electronics. I am getting a Lightning MAF.
