I want to match up a plenum to my Accufab 70mm throttle body and MAC cold air intake. Since the cold air is chrome and the throttle body is polished I wanted a plenum (not Accufab) to match up to it that would look nice. MAC offer's their Racer's Choice plenum as polished for the same price as the C&L TrueFlow. The other option was chroming the C&L plenum. Has anyone done this? Any idea how much it would cost? Also, how does the MAC plenum compare up to the C&L performance-wise? Would it be worth it to chrome the C&L or just go with the polished MAC? Any help would be appreciated. (Anyone have any pictures of a chromed C&L plenum?)

wow, good find apollo. i honestly don't think ive seen mention of that plenum on this forum.

for anyone without the MM&FF, the ad shows their plain plenum for $139.50, polished is 179.50, plain+75mm TB is 304.50, and polished+75mm TB is 344.50.

i think i'll be placing a big order to MAC in a few weeks...everything is so cheap and i have no money. its perfect

Welcome to StangNet Apollo Creed - Why not the Accufab? I'd be kinda hesitant of the MAC elbow. People don't seem to have many good things to say about their products, nor has this been tested. Just because it looks good doesn't mean it performs well.
I'm no expert, but I think chrome might not be too stable on the plenum. To begin with, it has a rouch surface. That would have to be smoothed out, so if your doing that, you might as well just polish the aluminum. (it'll shine like chrome)
For the price, the C&L is a great performer. For a little more shine, the Accufab seems to be the choice.
And most people (and testers) are using the Accufab TB - again, a high quality piece.
