C4 Valve body

Looking for some help on a c4 Transmission thats currently in a 66 mustang. Apparently the valve body is a later model than 66 but when removing the trans filter a small pin and spring fell out of the valve body from behind a tab on the trans filter. Didn't see how it came out. Does anyone have a diagram or know how it goes back in. I've posted a picture that has the transmission filter boxed in and the tab on it that i believe this pin and spring fell out of the valve body from. how does it go back in? i dont see any wear marks on either side of the pin to give any suggestion to how they may have been placed behind it. any posts would be greatly appreciated.

Pin goes in the spring and into the VB. The bare end of the spring sits on the filter tab. The whole c4 is 70 and up.

thanks for the post. just to make sure before i zip everything back together. but i've attached a rough paint document that looks like a 3 year old made just to make sure it's going back in the right way from your description. please lemme know if thats how it goes
