Im about to get my car registered here in CA but the main problem is that I don't have 2 locations where they can verify my VIN. My car was repainted before I bought it so there is no door sticker just the VIN plate on the dash. Any suggestions on how I could verify a second VIN location? I believe if I can't verify it a second way, I have to bring my car to CHP and somehow they verify it. Anybody know what they do at CHP? I'd really prefer not to have to go through the hassle of bringing it to CHP. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
