CAI and Tuner, or Exhaust?? looking to spend $500 ball park...I am thinking the Bassani Axel back exhaust or BBK CAI and SCT from Brenspeed? But i cant decide which one to do first...No way the wife will let me do both at the same time.

CAI and Tuner first as once you have the axel back, I believe it would need a tune since adjusting the a/f ratio slightly.

Exhaust won't provide any real gains because the factory system is already pretty darn efficient. The CAI and tune will provide real gains

Yeah that my biggest decision gains or exhaust sound? I don't take it to the track...yet what do you see in RWHP gain from a CAI and 87 OCt. tune? But i had a 97 cobra and I really miss the sound of that car had with the flowmasters

You'll get a much better exhaust note with a CAI than you have now.

Neither. C&L Racer or JLT with a Xcal3 tuned by VMP Tuning.

How will a CAI change the exhaust sound? It will change the induction sound, but not exhaust. For me, exhaust is always fist on the list. I love the sounds of a free flowing exhaust. A CAI and a tune will no doubt give you the most performance. I personally don't care for the look of the BBK. I like the Anderson piece.

You can go to MUSTANG-UPR Products.com and order their CAI and the SCT X3 programmer for around $600. The main reason I recommend them is because they have awesome customer service and pretty fast shipping. I felt a noticable change in power with those alone. Also, when you start working on your exhaust you should get a set of the axle back SLP Loudmouths. They are a little loud but they sound nice and I believe they are the best bang for your buck.

BBk CAI just looks clean and solid.
Honestly is there gonna be much difference??

I was looking at the SLP loudmouths but not sure I want to hear em in perosn, I want louder but i dont want (O/R X Pipe loud) I just want something over stock but not something that willl get me pulled over. I dont want to have to drive around in 5th gear through town.

trust me, you will notice the difference right away with the CAI/tune. dont even think about it, just get it NOW!! i guarantee you will not be back here saying you made a mistake buying that over the exhaust. a CAI/tune is the biggest bang for the buck next to a power adder you can do for this car. if you have an automatic, then the difference is more dramatic.

CAI & a tuner.. but I would go with the C&L. It's a totally different beast afterwards.
