I installed my CAI yesterday, i went cheap with the kit from americanmuscle.com since they dont add a whole lot of power, i just bought a bigger filter for it though. So i was driving it around and i didnt feel a gain in power (didnt expect to feel more) but it almost seems like its kinda sluggish in areas at WOT. Might just be my minds because i was worried that when i was putting it on i messed up somehow since this is my first time doing this kind of stuff. There is no check engine light on. could i have done something in the install that might cause this?

It may take a few miles for the computer to learn new parameters. Really though I don't see where you would feel any difference positive or negative.

The only CAI , from all of my cars, that I've ever felt a difference on was the JLT. I had a MAC previously and I think it might have detracted from performance because of the massive heatsoak from that aluminum intake pipe.

If you bought a CAI with an elbow before the mass air meter, it will throw off readings because the computer is used to the filter being in front of the mass air. You should look into JLT's horsepower budget kit, that's really all you need.
