Hi guys,

I'm coming over to California (from the UK) next month and I am planning on buying a new Holley for my 390 while I'm over there. I have decided on a 4160 750cfm VS at $248 from Summit. They can deliver it to my hotel while I am in San Francisco, but are there any dealers around SF, Vegas or LA that I could get one from on my travels?? Dont mind spending a little more if I can collect it in person

Also, I have a '67 'S' code, with a 'mild' rebuild. Is this a good choice of carb? I currently have a tired old Motorcraft 4300, so anything would be an improvement!!

Thanks for any help,
Darren

Hmm is that a rebuild ? Buying rebuilt carbs sometimes can be more trouble than its worth.

Depends on your engine. I just bought a 770 Street Avenger Holley for my mild 351w. And heh I went thru a lot of research before I bought ! See the spacer thread for some good advice that I recieved.

The price from Summit is for a new Holley. I've had a read of your thread, interesting stuff I'm quite happy to buy off Summit but just wondered if there was somewhere in California I could get one over the counter.

Thats a nice price heh I should have checked summit Anyway, I am not sure if you can get over the counter from them in Cali, but as darknight said, just get the city, zip of the hotel your staying at, and have it overnighted. may pay a little more for shipping, but you will get it fast !

Yeah I would just go with summit they always take good care of their customers, and get you your parts when you need them.
