Today I met a young lady who just purchased a black 2007 GT/CS. :D

While I have yet to see her car, she tells me it is indeed a CS except that it does not have the factory installed hood scoop!? The dealer told her they would order it and install it for her. This sounds suspect to me.

Hhmmm....Have I got a deal for you young lady! I own a black 2007 GT/CS and really don't care much for the looks of the hood scoop. How's about we trade hoods?

I'm fairly sure that I could convince the dealership that it would be easier, and cheaper, to swap our hoods then drill out her hood and install the scoop.

Pros:

I lose the scoop! I really like the sleek look.
If I decide I want to, I can now install the CDC shaker system with minor modification to the hood. The CDC shaker does not cover the factory hood scoop bolt holes!
I do a favor for a sweet gal!:p

Cons:

None that I can think of!

Just wanted to bounce the idea off you guys...fire away!:nice:

I built a CS the other day and I'm not certain a hood scoop is part of the package. I added the GT appearance package to the build and was never given a message that it was already included or I couldn't do it or anything like that.
It may be that most have the GT appearance package too.

I just checked Ford's site. According to the list of options, the California Special includes side scoops (among several other things) but there is no mention of a hood scoop. I believe to get the hood scoop you must add the GT appearance package.
That, I believe, is your answer. The California Special does not include a hood scoop.
