I hear a lot of people ordering their '07 stangs, mostly GT's and GT500's. Just wondering if anyone has ordered the Cali Special yet. Not to put the car down or anything, but does anyone really want one?

I read about, but I didn't need anything that was offered on it for the most part so I just ordered a premium.

I didn't order a 2007 I just grabbed an 06 but I wouldn't have ordered it either. People will buy them but I think there are other cool limited run models they could have done. Like a cool Twister Special with the FRPP power pack installed or something.

I was not impressed when I seen the California Special either. Its all show and no extra go. I'd rather have a special edition mach 1 or boss mustang but I don't think thats going to happen

I think it looks too tall...not muscular enough....I picture some metrosexuals buying them up. They probably matched the cupholders in that car to special fit Starbucks thermo mugs.

That pretty much describes the concept behind the original California Specials too.

I AM going to order a Vista Blue Metallic one with the side stripes in black. But no ugly "GT appearance" hood scoop, no convertible, and definitely no white! Install a shaker hood scoop, maybe louvers in back, we will see.

Yes, a Boss or Twister or new Mach 1 would have been more interesting -- but in a few years it will be a lot more interesting than just another GT.

As for this statement...you realize it sits exactly like a GT, but the different front fascia makes it 1.5" lower in the front than a GT? I guess I will be a metrosexual because I can't afford the 55,000+20-30,000 for a Shelby, and would like to start my mods with something other than a normal GT.

I drink Starbucks regularly, I guess I am a metro sexual. I prefer to think of myself as a new age guy who can do it all but whatever, label me this, label me that.

I like the looks and don't even drink coffee. I wouldn't have white either. I have never liked white on any car.
