calling AOD experts

Having issue with fluid level. The dipstick shows way high cold and way low hot. According to ford shop manual that is a symptom of front pump, front pump bushing, or the servo by the front pump.

Any other ideas what it is and how bad is it to drive it? Is it killing the trans and should be replace immediately or can drive it as long as it still works?

no, but it does have a leak and I am worried if it keeps getting worse I will not be able to add fluid becasue the non running level is so high

its going to show high when its cold... thats why you run your car untill warm and then check it while running, if its still low add fluid... if its showing low when warm im sure there isnt just enough fluid...

it should show low when it is cold not high, thermal expantion and all

Not sure of the cause and how bad it can be but you might want to post it over at www.clickclickracing.com. They have an AOD/C4 forum and there are some pretty knowledgable guys in there.
