Caltracs...I just ordered mine

Reading the instructions I see they talk about setup with and without 4-corner scales. Plus there's a race setup and a street setup section, and the obligatory disclaimers about using a race setup for street driving. So, for those of you who run these on the street...

Is there a real saftey issue using a pre-loaded (race) setup for street driving? Or does it have more to do with driveability and handling (cornering) than safety? I'll call the manufacturer and ask them but their lawyers have probably given the a script to read.

edbert...id be interested in knowing also..

I dont know about the two different setups....just two different holes to mount the torque bar in. THe upper hole makes them hit "harder" - quoting from calvert racing. The bottom hole is 'softer' They suggest only a 1/4 turn of preload. I hae not had a chance to use mine, but I would think on the street...no preload and the upper hole would be ideal.
