cam changing on 89gt

I am interested in changing my cam and would like to know if it is possible to change it without pulling the engine or is it to tight to come out the front? Thanks for your advice.

I did it with the engine in my '91. I dont have a/c or anything though. I had plenty of room.

I heard you can, need to pull of the radiator, and all things that block that passage tho. Also IMO!!, I suggest pulling the Lifters out, to be on the same side(instead of using those tool thingies.)

I did it on my 87. I pulled radiator and ac condenser core and I had enuff room.

Is there really enough ample room just by taking off the radiator????????

I had one mechanic tell me he'd have to take off the front end of the car to have enough room to change the cam out?????????

Theres enough room, just take out the radiator and move the condenser out of the way. I did it two days ago.
