I'm looking at a cam to combine with a Weiand Stealth and Holley Double Pumper (rest of engine same as below). The 270H and 274Xe are both good looking cams. I would go for the 274 but it requires a stall converter (according to compcams' site) and being a cheap college student, i don't know if I want to go through that hassle (though i might rebuild the C4 this summer anyway...). Another reason I don't know if I want to bother is because I do want to swap in a Toploader eventually, and that would make investing any more into the C4... not worth the extra dough.
Would the 274XE (or a similar cam like the 280H) be that much nicer than a 270H?
