Looking for some advice

It's 306

Holly terminator x
Trickflow track heat intake
76mm throttle buddy
Xe268h cam
30lb injectors
Pw heads 175cc 61cc 2.02 1.60 7/16 stud
It's a standard vehicle

Question is I'm looking to get some more Na power out of it and looking to go a bigger camshaft... to try and do this the engine is already out I was thinking aboutna x303..

Car is a summer cruiser not a daily

Any input would be appriciated

I should not the heads state with the springs they have they will accept a max. 625 lift and I'm looking to keep the engine under 6500 absolute max maybe 6300

I’m assuming this is in a fox body?

What rear gear do you have?

Far better cams out there than a x303.

What are you trying to do with the car (track, street race, cruise down to DQ)? What are your power goals?

The letter cams tend to have low rpm driveability issues (bucking), may be workable with an aftermarket efi computer system but honestly the newer duel pattern cams are better.

i'm not an expert on cams so I would talk to a cam manufacturer, I'm sure an expert member will chime in.

Do you have a roller cam or non roller? The XE268H is non roller, X303 is roller.

Has the car been tuned properly, given a stand alone ECU?

Since the trick flow hci kit states 350 hp. On a stock bottom end I'm sure if you follow that recipe you'll get the hp.numbers.

What about a xe282hr? Has anyone used this camshaft?

revhead347

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Alphabet cams are outdated. Customer service is there for a reason, call Comp Cams and ask their advice. You are only going to get free advice here, and when it comes to cams, you get what you pay for.

I use the xe282hr in my turbo 331 car. The vacuum is so low at idle I had to add a vacuum pump for the brake booster. I can't speak on power since I'm turbo but it is a decent camshaft for my set up and what I'm happy with.

Contact these folks and you won't be disappointed. Understand that they stay super busy but do exactly what they say.
