Hello everyone, I need some opionions on what off the shelf cam I should go with based on my current set up.

600 Holley Carb, RPM Performer Intake, Ford Racing Heads Y303's, Hooker Headers.

I am looking for a real solid street cam to come on early and go to maybe 5,500, what should I go with.

Even a stock cam should easily pull to 5500. You may just want to use a stock cam with the 1.7 rockers. Or you could get a cam with up to about 220* duration @ .050".

Thanks - I guess I should clarify I don't really need it to stop at 5500 but it's not a strip car so I don't need it to pull on upwards of 7,000 etc......

so is this a hydraulic roller?

I would run a lunati 51014 if you can find one on ebay.

218/226 @ .050 on a 112, .500" intake and .510" exhaust

Its actually pretty close to the custom I got from jay allen.
306, RPM airgap, 670 street avenger, windsor jr aluminums.
Made 301rwhp and 316rwtq with 9.7:1 and ran on 87.

It is a flat tappet and the XE268 was one I was considering. Also if I go with new roller rockers what pushrods do I get?

Any time you get a cam that requires adjustable valve train, you need t measure for proper pr length. THere is an excellent article over on s b f tech dot com on adjusting rockers and measureing for PR length.

Don't forget to include stall speed for your TC and gears to match the cam, in order to see the whole performance gain.
