Cam follower??? Please help

Hey guys I called someone who is sellin a 4 banger and I wanna get it for my lil brother but the seller told me something about a cam follower which caused some engine noise. Have any of you heard of this and is it a major problem? The car has to be a daily driver and swapping the engine is out of the question for now. Also, The car has 90000 miles on it.

A cam follower is akin to a rocker arm, on an overhead cam motor. If it's only a little worn, then it can cause a noise, and eventually a bigger problem, but could be fine for a while. You coulod replace them with the motor still in tho.
