I searched the 94-95 forum and found that a few people have their opinions on the reliability of going with timing gears instead of a timing chain, but my question is if anybody has actually installed timing gears on a SN95. For my own reasons, I want to run the gears setup, and would like to find out any trouble areas before I pull the old timing chain off. Thanks.

you best like the noise.... :D Have known a few people who run gear drive...It gets old after awhile...a bud has em on his 69 Z28 with a 427...sounds like a Boeing 747 coming down the street... :nice:
i have never run them, only those who have...haven't heard any horror stories for what its worth...

Thank you for your response. Yes, I realize they are loud, but with a blower and dumps, the noise really is no longer a factor. I want to make sure they will fit under the stock timing cover. Does anybody know the answer to this? I am not getting a decent response from the timing gears manufacturer, so that is why I decided to ask.
