have you had the spray hooked up and armed yet? ever sprayed it? i got my first ride in a 94 gt 327 with a 200 shot...my good nitrous is crazy! it hits and boom your off....kinda like boost...its addicting!

Yeah I have used the spray, 3 times so far, bottle still has a bit left. The first time I did ti was on the way back from summit getting my bottle filled and some tailpipes, yeah we got that huge tailpipe box in my back seat, top down lol.

I hit it in 3rd at 55 and I spun tires for about 3 seconds then took off like a damn rocket. That was the single most badass moment I have had in my car!

Edit: This whole project has now been put on the back burner. We had an unexpected death in the family. My mom's aunt, like a grandma to me, fell and hit her head this morning. She was only given 2 hrs to live and she died at around noon. Funeral is friday and sat. I don't even know when I'll have time to do anything, not like the car matters right now.

ah the good ole days....

have fun with it man, h/c/i is a night and day diff, its not just the power, the sound of the car is completely different, not only idle, even just crusing at 2k rpms you can hear the diff between a hci fox and a non hci fox regardless of the exhaust.

Should I buy a set of lifters?? While I am in there? I mean it will be another hundred bucks or w/e but I am not sure. If I have to I might as well, its not like its that hard to do down the road. Also do you think my stock VCs will clear the 1.6 harland sharp RRs? If not, what VCs around 100 bucks would clear and clear my intake with a 1/2 inch spacer?

the lifters are kinda meh, they are rollers so its not like they are gonna really wear out.

for my 1.6 roller rockers i had to clearance the valve cover... a lot actually. but i got some cheap ones that were huge. HS maybe alittle smaller because they are a higher quality aluminum.

i cut the baffles out of the top, and all the support rails out of the sides, then used a little jb weld to fix the few places the grinder cut through.

buy this:

Ryan, I have a brand new TFS 1 sitting on the shelf in my garage that I'm not using if you are interesting in purchasing it at some point. Hit me up on the PM.

Back off sniper..........lol

Change the lifters. You have never adjusted stud mount rockers before, its not something you want to do twice because you cheaped out early on in the build. They also do go bad, they get to a point where they wont pump up all the way anymore and start tapping.

i say do the lifters now if you can spare the $.

no sense in having to go through this all again (downtime, gaskets and hardware, etc.) when you coulda just done it earlier.

as for valve covers....i'm not sure.

with a 1/2 inch spacer, wouldnt "most" covers clear as long as they arent incredibly tall? This seems to be a hit/miss very blurry area every time i read about it maybe there's too many combos and factors that go into it.

I have stock rockers/valve covers but every time i look into getting some i get "just check and find out" from people.
