Cam is in along with new timing chain. I bolted down the head and a set of RRs, put some play doh on the pistons and turned the engine over a few times. IT HITS!!! Dammit, now the engine is getting pulled tomorrow on a borrowed lift and it gets taken down to Coupe Performance friday hopefully to get the pistons notched. Then the engine goes back together while on a stand and dropped in as one. The valve covers were primed and painted tonight by my friend while I did the dirty work and they came out AWESOME! They match the upper intake.

IDK exacly what the color is but I believe it is a rustoleum metallic, like midnight blakc or something like that, although it is more charcoal.

Yeah the pass side is gonna need some work. I'll have to do what that guy above did, I'll just be a little more careful and not cut through the VC

doesnt surprise me that they hit with that 2.02 valve. I dont think any 2.02 will clear the stock pistons....perhaps with a stock cam...idk.

You made the right call to pull the motor and re-ring it...while you are notching the pistons.

Should be a sick little setup. Might want to send that lower intake out for some porting while you have the thing apart for so long. T-moss would be able to hook you up with another 15-20 hp easily on a combo like that.

You arent going to run the stock 19# injectors are you?!

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

I'd definitely go with at least 24lb injectors with that setup and move up to a 70mm MAF and TB while you are at it. probably another 10hp at least there.

Are you going to re-bearing it too? Since the pistons came out (for clearance) I would reccomend at least replacing the rod bearings...if not the full set. It is more cash, but at least EVERYTHING is new.

I already have a 70mm maf and a 70mm TB. I am gonna run stock injectors till i get some money and buy 30#ers, a maf, and a tune(30#ers b/c of the spray). The engine is out now, I didn't get a chance to snap pics. I also buzzed my head on a wim lol, so I'll post a pic of my jarhead look too

That color is awesome, put on a few coats of clear and it looks even better (like a good car paint job). I painted a few old dirtbike parts and my gt40 upper and lower, and vc's and came out good when I did it.

Aren't your running a wet kit? I thought you were, but i may be wrong. Because if you are, then there is no need to run an injector in the 30 lb range. Wet nitrous supplies its own fuel and doesnt rely on the injector at all to compensate for fuel. A dry kit however relies on the injectors to be big enough to handle the job. I would grab a set of 24's, and have at it. Plus the 24's are so widely available used that you can get a good set for 100 bucks. Which btw i have if your interested. The 30's are like a middle of the road injector, they are kinda useless in my opinion, because if you ever run a blower, then you gotta buy 42's or atleast 36'ers, so then you have to sell them and i dont think they are as popular as a 24. Or if you were to go stroker eventually you will still have to get a bigger injector, probably like a 32 or bigger lb. I dunno just my two cents
