So I am trying to deside on a cam for my 302 and have narrowed it down to 2 cams the xe270hr or the xe276hr which a both retro fit. The specs are the same except for the duration and overlap. The 270 will give me a small bit more torque in the low and mid and the larger will give me more mid and top horse power. The only thing is we are talking 5+,- either way in the numbers. So I know the 276 will have a lopey idle but will the 270 have any idle to it. I just need a few sound clips to get an idea. Because the sound is well worth 5 ft lbs if you know what I mean.

This is my old 83 with AFR 165s + a flat tappet XE274H w/ MAC shorties, an x pipe and 2 chamber flows.

Well I have a 84 with the afr 185cc heads and I was looking at the exact cam you had but I figured if I have put 1400 in heads why not go roller cam which I can do for about $410 so I guess its worth the 40 hp. thats Why I cant deside between the 270 and 276 I want the idle though it just sound bad a$$.
