I do have #19 camshaft and people told me i would still need a tune. It is true that you need a tune no matter what kind of cam you use to get the maximum amount of power and great driveability.

I am using edelbrock heads and intake and steeda #19 cam. I still need a dyno & tune.

From what i have seen #19 cam is okay for daily driver or just mild mod street car. I am happy it's better then stock LOL

I kind get out of that that you are not happy with it and should have gone with something else? does it seem to work good with your combo?

Kind of skipped down to the bottom so if i missed something im sorry. but this is my dyno 165 AFR's with 1.7 Crane RR's Steed #19 cam and trick flow track heat intake. and the bolt ons in my sig

i ran a 13.5 before the HCI, and im getting it S/C before the track re opens so i wont know exactly what this did besides how it feels, from the oem stuff to this its a blast. the cam doesnt sound amazing but the whole combo together works out great. and 294.9/301.9 isnt bad right? 112k on the motor.

Heres me before the H/C/I!

good times

Okay, so here is where I'm at. I found this kit at texashotrods.com
Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Mustang 5.0L EFI Engine Kits Silver

I am wondering that if I get this kit and do a TwEECer tune if I would be good to go. I would hate to drop all this money on this kit and it render useless! lol

Thanks for all the great info guys and keep it comin!

I took the info Mr. Dizzy_ax so kindly provided for us
and put it next to a TFS combo that was a pretty close match

I also threw in one with LT's and a longer runner intake

The Steeda19 did better than I would have suspected on the very
low end

A bit soft ... but still ...Not as soft as I would have thought

anyway .....

You can make your own conclusions

Hope this helps someone see a bigger picture

Thats pretty neat Maybe you can do that when i get my vortech/meth inje. in. that'd be cool to see vs others with different cams. also thats with a tune/and 42#'s. All of these parts me and my tuner chose for the end result wich is very close. so lets see how it all comes together in the end

I like it and It works! I just went with the whole steeda head intake and cam package because i got it for really good deal. (Inside source)

I think i spent about $1200 total. Including the eddy Heads, eddy Intake and #19 Camshaft and B351 roller rockers.

I used to have the AFR 165 heads and sold it with the cobra intake for about $1500.

Basically i sold the used set up and got New parts for cheaper and ended up with cash left in my pocket for other parts...Couldn't beat that.

My car is street car and i am not into all that crazy lumpy idle. if it was race car i probably went with more aggressive set up.

It all depends on what YOU want

If that anderson N412 cam had 114 lobe and little more lift on intake & exhaust that will be nice

I understand about getting what YOU want

The last thing I wanted was an idle that attracts attention

If you don't mind ..............

Use the link in my sig and tell me if .........
You would say my idle sounds more severe than yours

I've worked real hard to make it sound less harsh

Before I did a few things in the tune It was way more radical

i have a XE270HR-14 that i put about 700 miles on, it would idle on the stock tune (i had everything changed so i needed a tune to fix everything else).
started to make steam at 3k and pulled to 6k.
$190 shipped.

the #19 is a good cam. used it for several years with a 70mm throttle body & trick flow intake with no problem. then i put heads, 1.7 roller rockers & 30# injectors. ran ok but got it tuned. 140,000 miles on the engine and it makes 305 hp/ 327ftlbs at the wheels with off the shelf parts. N/A runs 12's na 11's with 125 shot.
i had some trick flow heads. they were good, but i was not impressed. made more power with my gt40 - x305 heads.
