I am building my motor back up and I want to retard the timing of my fms E-cam 8 degrees. I have been using desktop dyno and when I entered the cam specs and retarted the timing up to 8 degrees, it brought the hp and tq closer together. Now my question is can I do that? Or will I hit a valve with a piston or some other major mechanical failure happenning? Will it not want to start or backfire or anything like that I am asking. Thanks
