camaro driver. looking at an '03 GT

what about the intake manifold??? Do those still have the plastic cross over?? If it does I'd have them get it swapped out to the aluminum one before buying it and having it be your problem.

Where in Indiana are you? There is a decent 03 Cobra vert sitting on Dimension Ford's lot in Fort Wayne... They are asking $27 for it but I am sure you could get it for less. It has the mad tyte 32V supercharged 390HP engine

I looked at it but I did not like the color. It is red but no metallic :(

Anyways, it has 21,000 miles on it and is in fairly good condition.

Good luck with the find! And don't be fooled! I once said "I'll just lower it and throw in a K&N air filter and be done with it. ... ...

Supercharger setup: $4,700
Gears: $500
Springs: $200
Shocks: $400
Bullit Brakes: $400
HIDs: $350
Rims: $1600
Tires: $950
Cobra Hood: $700
Mach 1 Chin Painted: $200
MGW Shifter: $165
New Cloth Top: $1,300
01+ Tinted Headlights: $200

Get my point? It's an F'ing addiction...

I thought those wheels were the standard on deluxe models?!? I know mine was an 04 and had those wheels....hated them too. Look like plastic.

Something about the mustang, I never quit found a comfortable position in the seat. I'm 5'10 and 155lbs, so pretty much average I'd think. There was always just something about the position of the seat. But once I stepped on the gas, I didn't really care anymore, not like I drove the thing cross country.

23k for that car is a total joke. I've seen 2005 gt's with 20k miles going for that nowadays.

I have never seen those wheels on a non-6 car from 03-04

Sorry for the huge pic...this is what I had on my 04. Based on what the sticker had listed, seemed like these were the stockers, although I couldn't guarantee it since I bought it used. I've seen these on a quite a few GT's actually.

there's just something that made me instantly fall in love with it. i feel safe in it and it handles loads better than my camaro.

i drove it with my dad in the passenger seat, and i had to make him drive! he didn't want to but after shifting through all 5 gears and hitting 100 mph, he liked it.:D not bad considering he's s GM guy.

for some random reason i felt like test driving cars. couldn't find any V8 fodys really so i stopped to drive an '02 5-speed mustang V6. shifted at 3.5k and it was SLOW. then i stopped at another dealership across the street (which was actually where i had my car parked oddly enough)

'03 Mustang GT
20k miles
5 speed
silver
great shape
pretty much all options except leather
1 owner
Indiana car

$16k

my shifting was a little rusty since i've only driven stick once for more that 5 min, but i managed not to kill it. that was this summer with a '92 silverado 4.3. anyway i was shifting in the 2.5-3k range. one word. quick.

with my car as a trade in my payments would be about $300.

any rants about this specific year, or that fact that i'm actually considering a ford? i remember hearing something about the intake manifolds sucking pretty hard in the '98s and such.
To each his own, but if I had it to do over again, I'd buy a 03-04 mach 1 or 04 cobra. The GT is nice and all and I should be happy with it, but it's slow as crap.:(
