I don't see any reason why it (mileage) would be too high, unless the car has other issues needing attention first.

stage ones will get you a slight lope in the idle, the stage twos may need some valve springs, and will give you a sick lopey ass idle, and probably like 20 hp. your car does not have too many miles for cams. it does not put more stress on your motor unless you rev it to like 7k now. The stage twos MAY move your powerband up, but most people dont experience this.

I have Comp 262's (similar to Stage 1) and mine were installed at 122K miles...put 28K on since then with ZERO problems and 20-25 runs at the track.

It's not wise to install any cam without a tune.

But, VT Stage II cams will shift your powerband up and with a dyno tune you can get around 30-35rwhp.. You WILL need valvesprings for them, I recommend Manley springs

Putting in VT Stage 2's on my almost 43k 03

If you're not looking to race I would recommend the VT Stage 1's.. VT is suppose to have them real soon (I'm thinking by the end of the week). But the Stage 2's are more aggressive cams, but take more (like valvesprings). You want a dyno tune either way to get your A/F ratio adjusted. If you get the Stage 2's you HAVE to get a tune. Are you an auto or manual? Btw.. what are your emission laws?

what ever cam you go with I would recommend a tune...Steeda installed my Stage 1 VT's and had trouble keeping the car running prior to them tuning it...picked up 33rwhp

I drove my car awhile before I got a tune but I didn't have an aggressive cam (Comp 262). I know a guy who had the Comp 270's and drove his for a while too then drove it from New Orleans to Atlanta before his tune.

My A/F was wacky...even with a mail order tune...but after my dyno tune I gained 5 tenths at the track. The dyno tune is well worth it. You can go with a mail tune to get you by if you go with an aggressive set up. A mild cam you can get away without a tune right away but you are leaving alot of power on the table.
