Hey everyone i have an 89 5.0 w/a 306 n/a and i bought it off a guy who built a stout nitrous motor, which he claims was 6500. It put down 325 to the wheels with a manual tranny. I have an automatic transmission, and im having alot of trouble because the cam is huge, the car wants to shut off all the time when i put it into drive or reverse.. So i am going to change out the camshaft on a weekend. Just had a question, the only things i have to take off to get to the camshaft is all the front accessories, timing cover, and timing gears right? And then life up the distributor and it should slide out? Im changing out the nitrous cam to an e 303 cam. Hoping it will fix my problem. Also for the cam what lubrication should i use, and should i set everything to 0? Also if anyone knows of a way the shutting off problem can be fixed let me know please. THanks again in advanced.

intake , valve covers and lifters come out too. roller cam only requires motor oil for lube.
or just put in a stall converter

Sweet, So everyting i said plus that. I should probably dedicate a Friday, Sat, and Sun to this project. Its gonna be the first time doing it by myself. Ive always had someone telling me if im about to do something wrong.
