Can a 92 hatch cover fit my 88?

I was at the wreckers today, and found a red hatch cover that I need. I noticed it was from a 91/92/93 though, maybe even a 90 not exactly sure when they chaged the rear interior panels. Anyways, can it fit my 88, it looks like its too short. Thanks for any help, if it does ill go back tomorrow to get it!

No, it is too short. You need an 87-89 cover.

Big time different !!

The 90 and up have shoulder belts in the rear, hence different side panels !

I have a 90 and 89.
