can a Turbo from a 7.3L diesel be put on a 5.0

I have the chance to pick up a new turbocharger for a 7.3L diesel for cheep and was wondering if it is something I could put on a 5.0. Also is that turbo even a good choice. All opinions welcome thanks.

Yes, but it wouldn't spool. That's a huge turbo that puts out around 25-30 psi if I'm not mistaken. The 5.0 just doesn't flow air like a diesel.

What size is the compressor wheel? The exhaust turbine will definitely have to be replaced. They are much larger on diesels, and would not be usable on a 5.0.

I think its much like a T6....big honkin turbo...i have heard of people usin them but haven em not spool up until like 3500rpm. i wouldnt use it
