I'm getting sick and tired of the TV cable. I can get a TPS (throttle position sensor) for the carb from many places, just need to be able to send commands to transmission is all.

Adieu

Easy there, this ain't a dating site.

You would have to replace the AOD with an AOD-E or a 4R70W to control it electronically if I'm not mistaken.

Why is the TV cable bothering you? It's a "set it and forget it" affair.

Sorry for the delayed reply.

I'm finding the adjustments of the TV cable to be hard to get exact, and they seem to move some over time. I suspect there may be some slight binding within the cable and sleeve. I'll look into rectifying that.

It just occurred to me that there could be some gadget I could bolt onto the outside of the housing that would allow for electronic signaling. I wish there was.

Your idea has me interested as well. I am going to look into this out of curiosity for my car. but, if the TV cable is getting worn, it might be time to replace it.

You might try Baumann at becontrols.com and see if they offer anything. That's who I'm going to use for a controller when I finally get a 4r70w for mine. I'm no expert but they can probably steer you in the right direction.
