Can anyone diagnose this transmission problem?

The car surges during the 2-3 shift like its slipping. Anyone know what causes that and how much it'll cost to fix?

I've also got convertor shudder, whats a 3000 stall convertor run installed?

And finally, can bad (old) trans fluid cause the above?

Whats a transmission shop gonna charge to troubleshoot this?

What color is the fluid? Is it a nice clear bright red or a dark brown color? Go to www.tccoa.com And look under tech then tranny. There is a lot of info there on the aode. You might look into the shift kit and upgrading the accumulators. On the aode there are problems with the old accumulators and there are upgraded ones that you can get from ford. Read over the info on the web site and then let me know what you think.
