Can anyone get the details of this for me? Wanted to see if I can just do it myself or if I have to have the dealer do it. I have this problem in my 01 Cobra.
I'll check to see what that TSB is about at my work tomorrow. Ford seems to have that problem with a lot of their vehicles. With the 03+ towncars, crown vics, and grand marqs they are having us install a little piece of foam onto each register to stop them from rattling around. Funny thing is it sounds very ghetto rigged but it actually works.
I have the info. Its for 01-04 mustangs and you are suppose to replace the barrel vent. They are a revised design, the part number is 3R3Z-19893-AB (vent louvre assembly). Order as many as you have with rattling concern. They are really easy to swap out, you just use a pocket screw driver and pry on the side and the vent pops right out, no need to pay anyone to do it.
