Can anyone give a reason?????

I just got my c-4 in my 91 GT and I drove it down the road and it would not shift. I jacked it back up and drained the fluid and tried it again. The first time around the block it shifted fine with a little hesitation between 2 and 3. After the tranny heated up it wouldn't shift anymore. Then as I was diving into my driveway it wouldn't even move when I pushed the gas. Any suggestions are appreciated.

How much fluid are you putting in? Did you check the fluid level on the stick in neutral with the car running? Is it a new tranny?

Yes it is a new tranny and I checked the fluid while in neutral. I put about 6 quarts in and when I started to drive it looked like just enough but then when I parked it the fluie was way over the max for the tranny.

did you fill the converter before installing it?

also.. you may need to check tighten the bands... if it is a new trans they almost always need adjusting.
