Can anyone recommend a "free shipping", good price Steeda site?

I don't have any noise from my mm plates. I know they had some problems with to much play where the bearings sit in the housing and they would slide up and down and make noise. They sent me a new set and they have no problems.

What exactly is the clicking noise coming from?

Also, if the Steeda plates aren't a "metal on metal" design, what are they?

edited because after reading my post, I felt the tone sounded harsh. I don't like to sound like a dick when I'm not trying to be one. :)

Hmm, I thought there was something wrong with my CC plates. I started hearing a poping noise at slow speed when I would turn almost to the stops. So I guess that's normal then?

Are there any negative effects to the popping sounds??

I had the noise in my MM plates as well. I thought it was the plates themselves, but it turned out to be the struts. Every little noise the struts make it transmitted into the strut towers and body via the C/C plates. I swapped in a set of KYB AGXs and there is absolutely no sound now. Even with the struts on the stiffest setting everything is perfectly quiet.
