i was wondering if anyone can recommend a good book on 5.0s. one that has the ins and outs of the whole engine. Looked in a old book and it said 3 bolt patterns for the manifold. Just wondering if anyone knew of a better one. i have a 91 5.0.

If you want the best, don't screw around, go straight for this one. It's worth it by far. I've been preaching this book to Stangnet since the day I bought it.

Amazon.com: The Official Ford Mustang 5.0: Technical Reference & Performance Handbook : 1979 Through 1993 (9780837602103): Al Kirschenbaum: Books

The best 30$ you'll spend for your car. It tells about any minor changes for any part on any V8 Mustang from 1979-1993, not just engine and driveline stuff, but EVERYTHING!

its just an engine. its going in a 68.

Still, the book covers a lot about the engine and typical modifications like aftermarket cylinder heads, EFI tuning, etc. Very VERY good book.

That book is a joke and I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy
it's full of technical errors

There are a couple by the author 'Monroe' that were ok....
Don't recall titles or his first ne though......
