CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW MUCH AN AUTO>>>5 SPEED WOUDL COST?
if all the work was done in a shop...with all new parts...on a 88gt

In a shop (if one will touch the job), with all new parts (not worth it and not gonna happen), I would say upwards of $3000. In comparison, doing my own labor and using all used parts, I did my swap for $300.

i did mine myself with all new stuff (tremec TKO) except for a used 82 GT bellhousing from my buddy and used pedals, and it still cost just under $2000. Teach yourself how to do it and save big. find a junked 5 speed car, take it apart carefully and remember how it all went together then put it in yours. it's really not hard.
