+1 that is the choice of the viewer. personally, i like seeing the ads that are posted, as long as they do not make sound or fill the entire screen. nice to see some of the advertised specials since i do not read the magazines.
also the ads are usually related to keywords in the thread, so if that car is on topic, then the ad appears. could be an enzyte ad

great!! so any mention of GM (aka, Communism on our shores), Chevrolet (aka, the devils walks the earth), or Bow Ties (code for child abusers), means that I'll be seeing an ad here for the 2010 Comrade Obamamobile (aka, the new camaro).
Resist my brother, don't give in. The camaro was designed to have this affect of far superior beings that own mustangs. I recommend a daily dose of 6200rpms of octane for roughly 13 to 14 seconds, less if you are already experiencing forced induction. Hope this helps.

Every once in a while I see something in an ad I want to check out. Its how the site supports itself. Mabey they should charge a fee every year to each member so they dont have to run ads.
I was kidding! Put down the knife! But the site needs some way to support itself and like Big Cat said, if they dont flash across the whole screen or make noise then no harm.
