I have a 1989 5.0 mustang with a strong motor, transmission and body but the floor and frame is a little soft. I know the floor can easily be fixed but can i fix the frame or is the car junk. I also have a 1992 4 cylinder with a good frame but instead of swithching everything i would rather fix the frame if possible. I want the car for a long time so if i did fix the frame i would want to make sure that it is very solid. Thanks for the help in advance.

Are you sure the frame is tweaked? Is your motor stock?

What is making you think the frame is broke?

How does it drive? From the outside does the car look like its driving somewhat sideways or looks cocked?

With todays technolgoy and those advanced frame jigs they can get the frame back to factory measurments no promblems.

The whole bottom of the floor is rusty and looking at the frame it looks a little weak. The motor is stock for now but i plan on adding to it later on. I have not driven the car yet because i am trying to figure out if i should fix this on or move everything over to the 4 cylinder. Would it be that easy to just replace parts of the frame.

I assume you are talking about the driver's floorboard? Its rusting out and falling through. I have racing seats in my car and if you look at the 2 seats it is very noticeable that my drivers seat has a lot of lean. All that you (and I) will need to do is take out the seats and console followed by the carpet. Then take some steel strips and sheet metal and rivet it down into a "new" floorboard. That is, if you have the same problem as me. Also, if you have this problem, it has nothing to do w/ the car frame, although their is nothing wrong w/ reinforcing it w/ subframe connectors.
